The journey
Our interview process usually has 3-6 stages, depending on the role’s seniority and complexity. You’ll always meet with:
- A recruiter
- A hiring manager (role manager)
- Other colleagues from your future team, cross-functional partners, or leadership
Most interviews are held online, though in some cases we may invite you to meet us in person.
Interview process
Your first conversation will be with one of our recruiters. In this stage, you’ll get an overview of Verve, the role, and the upcoming interview steps. We’ll also learn more about your experiences, personality, and motivation, while clarifying a few practical details. Think of this as a two-way introduction.
Early in the process, you’ll meet your future manager. This is where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the role, expectations, and the team setup. It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for your potential leader’s style.
For certain positions, we include a practical task. This might be a take-home case study, a live exercise, or a short presentation. Afterward, you’ll be invited to discuss your approach, present your work, and answer a few follow-up questions. Assignments will never come as a surprise. We’ll always give you clear instructions, the necessary information, and enough time to prepare.
To give you a complete picture, you’ll also meet with colleagues from your team, cross-functional partners, or members of the leadership team. In some cases, these conversations are combined into joint interviews to keep the process efficient and reduce the number of stages.
After the hiring team has completed its discussions, we hope to extend you an offer. You’ll first have an offer call with your recruiter, where we’ll walk you through the details and answer any questions you may have. This will then be followed by a written offer for your review. Once you accept and sign your contract, we’ll guide you through our pre-onboarding and onboarding process, making sure you feel supported and set up for success from day one.
We aim to provide timely feedback at every stage of the recruitment process. Our goal is to respond to candidates who are already in the interview process within one week, and to new applications within two weeks. During periods of high application or interview volumes, it may take a little longer. In such cases, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Tips for success
- Come prepared: A general understanding of Verve goes a long way. If you already have industry experience, it’s especially valuable to know how Verve fits into the landscape.
- Be specific: Use real examples instead of broad statements to illustrate your skills in action.
- Show your motivation: We value enthusiasm and curiosity just as much as experience.
- Keep it real: We value honesty, clarity, and straightforward conversations.
