Today, I’m excited to announce the acquisition of Smaato, a leading global mobile ad tech company, to help us drive this vision further. Having established itself as a top mobile monetization partner, Smaato has expanded its offering to a customizable self-serve platform with a powerful set of tools that gives publishers full control over their monetization. 

The acquisition of Smaato adds a strong mobile-first supply-side platform to Verve’s full-stack suite of products, increasing Verve’s audience reach with the addition of a substantial number of in-app publishers and advertisers. Our combined mobile ad exchanges will have a reach of approximately 2 billion users worldwide, providing brands and agencies wider access to high-quality premium inventory. Smaato’s vision to expand beyond mobile and into omnichannel monetization complements that of our own to build an ecosystem of advertising technologies that fuels growth for marketers and publishers through privacy-first multi-screen solutions. 

Bringing Smaato into the fold expands our offerings to both marketers and publishers across the world. It will equip both our demand and supply partners with the right tools needed to get the most out of their advertising goals, no matter where they sit in the ecosystem. We will continue to develop products together which can serve as alternatives to the walled gardens and shape the future of the open internet while keeping privacy at the core of our offerings.
